One bright summer day everything went wrong from the single moment I woke up: my cellphone went dead because I forgot to put it to charge the previous night, the alarm clock didn't ring (naturally!) and I was late for work, which led me to leave home in a hurry, leaving the lab keys behind.

Once in my car, I threw my house keys away to the dashboard, sprinted to the university, slammed the car door and ran upstairs to the lab, acquainting I had left the proper keys at home. Went up to the common office, got the spare keys and started my normal journey.

At the end of the day, I closed the lab door, returned the key and went back to the car to get my laptop so I could go to the library and read some articles for the next day's journal club... and where were the goddamn keys at?! IN THE LAB!!

As it was past leaving hours (5pm) no-one was in the office, so I had to ask the security to open it for me and get the lab keys, to retrieve the car keys. Back in my car I found that my laptop was at home, where i went to, tired, frustrated and unwilling to work for the rest of the day.
